OYADO FURUYA

Oyado Furuya is a traditional Japanese Ryokan with 13 rooms with ensuites. Each guest room is uniquely decorated and features magnificent views of the Myoko Mountains. The hotel has a number of hot baths including a traditional and rare tatami- buro (bath), a semi outdoor bathtub with commanding views of Mt. Myoko, an outdoor bathtub of the ‘ishi-no-yu’(stony- bathroom), and is finished with Japanese traditional lacquer techniques. The in-house restaurant provides traditional homemade Japanese dishes cooked with local ingredients.

Located near the base of the Akakura Onsen ski and snowboard resort in Myoko (Niigata Prefecture), Kougakuro is a Japanese-style ryokan offering traditional hot springs and a Japanese-style vacation experience. The Ryokan has comfortable and spacious Japanese style rooms with modern amenities, but the best thing about this hotel is the relaxing common area complete with open fire where you can sit and chat to fellow travellers over a beer or Sake.
