Japan Ski & Snowboard Tours

What was to become Whiteroom Tours started from one guided ski & snowboard tour in Central Hokkaido based out of Furano. This has now grown to over 50 tours all over Japan.

Our guided tours range in duration from 7 to 13 nights, with accommodation, breakfast, welcome and farewell dinners, lift passes, transfers, transport and guiding all included. Some tours we run only once, most tours have several dates to fit in with your schedule.

We have tours all over Hokkaido to suit different ability levels and outcomes.

Do you charge the piste but struggle in powder? If so then these are the tours for you! We have designed these tours for those who are either new to the techniques required to ski Japan’s deep snow or you have skied some deep powder and want to perfect those skills. Throughout the tour, your coaches will structure your learning so that you gain confidence and progress away from the groomers to experience the deep fresh snow and terrain you have always wanted to conquer.

Ability recommendation – Advanced on-piste – new to powder to high intermediate in powder

Powder Progression Tour | Sky to Sea Powder Tour

If you are after a great day being shown all the best inbounds powder and slack country then this is the product for you. Our guides can take you on a locals tour of the resorts throughout Hokkaido, showing you all the best powder stashes and hidden lines. Each resort offers up loads of terrain that you wouldn’t even know about if you didn’t have a guide. Knowing where to put a quick boot pack or hard traverse in is the key to getting you fresh deep powder. There are even a few road drops we can take advantage of for that special experience!

Guided ski & snowboard tours in Japan is what we do best.

If you are travelling with 4 or more people, we can customise a private-guided tour like the examples above but just for your group!

If none of the above suits you or your travel dates, our Whiteroom Guides can be booked to create your own personalised guided ski tour. You can use our tours as a starting point then contact us for help making it an unforgettable guided Japan ski holiday.

Why do a group tour?

    • Check out the best local spots (from a locals perspective)
    • Chase the best weather conditions and ski multiple resorts
    • Meet new people, and ski/ride with a bunch of like-minded people (at a similar ability level)
    • Minimise the hassle and stress in organising your own trip (we do that for you!)
    • Learn how to master powder skiing in a fun supportive environment.
    • Have a great time!
