If you have been to Japan a few times or are just keen to check out an area of Japan where few westerners travel then we can help you. There are around 600 ski resort in Japan and you’d want to ski about 200 of them. These are dotted all around Japan from the main island of Honshu to the northern island of Hokkaido. Many were built in the boom of the 80’s and 90’s so expect things to not have changed much since then but what you do get is powder all to your self, hardly any westerners (gaijin) and a true Japanese cultural experience.
