Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is located just 3.5 hours from San Fran. It is here that we will base ourselves for what will be one awesome camp. There’ll be 7 world-class ski resorts with-in a short drive, including our main hill Northstar and its epic parks. On our days off we’ll head into Tahoe City for some relaxing time at the bar and to Reno to check out it’s casino and bottomless buffets. We will be living it up California style + 400 inches of snow!
Northstar
This mountain is perfectly set up for maximum progression and fun. With Aussie pro's making it their home you can see why you'll improve out of sight in all forms of freesyle riding. From the Lil' Stash to its bigger brother and Northstar's 2 other parks you wont be short of a feature or trick to work on.
Day Trips
With 7 mountains in the area we will be taking a few day trips to check them out. As we have our own van we'll time these trips for the best conditions and weather. Included are day trips to Alpine meadows, Squaw Valley, Kirkwood, Heavenly, and Sierra at Tahoe.
Coaching
Mark Amadio will head up the coaching line-up. He brings his unwavering passion for snowboarding to the Whiteroom Freestyle Camp. Hailing from NSW, he spends his winters coaching full time at Perisher as the competition slope style coach in the highly successful WSC programme. Mark also fills his calendar coaching for Send It Camps, and freelance coaching with selected athletes throughout the summer abroad. He holds a current APSI level 2 certification and coaching principal’s cert from AIS. He and the other coaches will be living with you, riding with you and partying with you. This willbe an experience like no other!
Accommodation info
You will be staying in an expansive private home offering all the comforts of home. Located just blocks from the Nevada border where you will find 24 hour casino nightlife, less than a mile from Kings Beach for beaches, restaurants, and shopping, and only 15 minutes from Northstar-at-Tahoe Ski Resort. |
